Correct line-up at the start in Scharnitz

At the Karwendelmarsch fairness is very important.

Basically, there is only a slight difference between the disciplines “run” and “march”. At the march there is also the discipline with 35 km, where you can stop in the Engalm. This discipline does not exist in the run. However, there are age groups for the run and an arrival list for the march.

As is also already known, running in the march class or walking in the run class is not a disqualification reason.

Important notes for the line-up at the start:

It is very important that the two different disciplines line up correctly for a smooth start. Please follow the dedicated signage for the correct line-up:

  • Run class participants (red bib) line up in the front third or in front of the divider.
  • Participants of the marching classes (gray start numbers) can then line up directly behind the partition and thus behind the running class. Participants of the marching classes should use the starting area as fully as possible.

We ask all walkers not to obstruct and pass all runners at the start in Scharnitz! Please make full use of the starting area this year – there is enough space for everyone!

Use the starting area to the fullest!

Please make full use of the starting area this year – there is enough space for everyone! This applies especially to all marchers.
