Alexandra Grimbs and Anton Seewald
In slightly summery weather, the two winners of the Karwendelmarsch 2023 recently planted their winning tree: Alexandra Grimbs and Anton Seewald – both from Germany – successfully took part last summer and, in keeping with tradition, were now able to plant their own tree at the picturesque Kleiner Ahornboden in the Nature Park Karwendel. Course record holder Seewald, who completed last year’s Karwendelmarsch in just 4 hours, 4 minutes and 7 seconds, and women’s winner Grimbs were happy to take advantage of this opportunity. The legendary hiking and mountain running event between the Seefeld and Achensee regions is taking place again this year. This year’s date for the event, which is already fully booked, is 31 August.
