The legendary Karwendelmarsch will take place for the 15th time on 31 August 2024 – and will once again send a strong signal for environmental protection.
At the traditional Karwendelmarsch press conference in the main building of our partner Tiroler Sparkasse, the focus was once again on sustainability. The “folk festival for hiking and mountain running enthusiasts” has reached a new level this year. ❤️ The part of last year’s entry fee that goes directly to the Karwendel Nature Park and supports its “Traces of Biodiversity” project along the route of the Karwendel March is already having an impact: with the help of numerous volunteers, the fencing off of wetland areas, the clearing of bushes from alpine pastures and the clearing of mountain pines have already been realised. This year, the proceeds from the entry fees will be used to maintain the Gramai Hochleger, the Laliders Alm and the Hochalm and to replant the Kleine Ahornboden. Our partner Salewa also presented innovative and sustainable accents: this year, for example, all participants will receive recycled Salewa wallets made from banners used in the past.
Many thanks to our long-standing partners for the great cooperation!
